Windows Movie Maker Crash Problem
I was recently using Windows Movie Maker to create a movie from a few video clips. I know for one thing that Windows Movie Maker is an awesome software for the task, but I seem to be running into lots of problems.
Using Windows Movie Maker is a snap, but after doing some editing, inserting video transitions, cropping videos and stuff, the whole application crashed and I had to restart and restart. I was annoyed and my heat level shot up.
Then I found out why Windows Movie Maker Crashed when I made changes. Even if it did not crash, Windows Movie Maker would not play the timeline movie. Why?
Well, it was because it did not like the filetypes! I used mpeg and avi video clips to create my movie. Then I got fedup of the crashes and has a last resort, I used "Any Video Converter", a freeware video converter software, to convert my mpeg video clips to Windows Media Video format aka wmv. And then used those wmv clips in Windows Movie Maker to create my movie. No problem whatsoever!
