Avatar the Legend of Korra is a series based off of Avatar The Last Airbender. It is created by the same creators, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. Some people consider this a sequel but some don't. The story has the same setting as the original Avatar the Last Airbender, because it takes place in the same universe. The timeframe? About 70 years after Avatar the Last Airbender. Korra is the next Airbender, after Aang. She is from the Water Tribe. Aang and Katara's son, Tenzin is her Airbending teacher. She has already mastered Earth, Fire, and Water. The world is different now. Republic City, a metropolis powered by steam-type technology is a city inhabited by people from all four nations, and is the main setting. Here Korra must deal with rampant crime and an anti-bender revolt. The world of Avatar has definitely changed, and evolved, and advanced. It is not totally different, but it's generations later. There are Anti-Benders in Republic City, who are strongly against the art of bending. They are here to show the benders what true Kung Fu is like. No water, fire, air fart or earth shit. Just pure skill, strength, agility and power. With Amon's ingenious tazer-like weapons, the benders have found their match and cannot dominate the Avatar Earth any longer. Will the benders survive this revolution or will they fall to Amon's uprising?
