PSP Game Programming

Next year, I would be having my final year for my degree course. And every final year student has complete a final project. Out of the chosen topics, most are of the utmost difficulty but I saw one that was quite OK... PSP Game-programming.

PSP Game Programming

Well, I am supposed to develop a game for PSP for my degree Final Project. Quite a hard task but still, it is not as hard as other topics such as 3D strategy games or 3D virtual life simulations.

But still, it is not an easy task. The requirements of the project only mentions the need to make a game that is runnable on the PSP. I can accomplish this by using C++ or Lua to make a homebrew PSP game. But then this type of games can only be run using a certain version of Firmware. What if the question needs me to develop a PSP game that is not homebrew and can actually be run on any firmware? Like the commercial PSP games that are made specifically to be burned into a UMD disk. Well, I have got some digging to do.

What kind of game would I make? Hmmm... I would perhaps make simpler but fun games such as word games. Lingo comes to my mind first. Or maybe Snowball Portable for the PSP? That would be nice. Anyways I will be thinking about it. Or perhaps I will go discuss with my teammates.

The video below is about a guy playing Homebrew on PSP 3000. Coool!
