Paypal Policy Update November 08
There is an update on the Paypal policy and it is regarding the use of paypal for online gaming sites...
Here is a quote from the Paypal policy update:
Prohibited Activities
You may not use the PayPal service for activities that:
"5. involve gambling, gaming and/or any other activity with an entry fee and a prize, including, but not limited to casino games, sports betting, horse or greyhound racing, lottery tickets, other ventures that facilitate gambling, games of skill (whether or not it is legally defined as a lottery) and sweepstakes unless the operator has obtained prior approval from PayPal and the operator and customers are located exclusively in jurisdictions where such activities are permitted by law."
So for those who have been using Paypal for gambling, I am not sure but you need to use other methods to fund your gaming accounts.
What I am worried though, is not this, but instead, whether Paypal will penalize users for using Paypal to pay for items and upgrades of online multiplayer games like Viwawa and Ijji (Gunbound). I think not, but who knows... We need to make sure and think twice now...
