I seem to be putting on some fats around my waist again. However, I have not been eating unhealthy food and have been active in my daily routine, but why the fat? Read on...
You see, recently I looked down at my belly and saw that my skin covering my abs had gotten thicker. My ab muscles are not quite visible anymore... And this is indeed quite strange. You know, I have been eating healthy food like bananas, apples, rice, veges and some meat, but no junk food. And I haven't been eating a lot but have been working out. But why am I still putting on fat?
I suspected that it had something to do with starvation mode and the dieting plateau. In a nutshell, the body will try to hold on to calories when it detects a deficiency, so that the body can survive. So to think of it, I haven't been eating a lot of food that would give me carbohydrates... And thinking back to the past, it seemed that when I got ab muscles, I was eating quite a substantial meal daily. And when my stomach was soft and flabby, I was either eating too much and being too sedentary or exercising too much and eating too little. The trick to losing the fat is getting the balance.
Then I came across an ebook called Cheat to Be Lean. It teaches you how to lose fat even when eating junk food, and highlights all the necessary steps to take and meal suggestions to eat. I eventually bought it and it confirmed the starvation mode theory that I have above. A really worthy investment.
So now, I will be playing some Resistance Retribution!
