It is decided. I am doing crowd simulation for my degree final project, not the PSP game. This topic offers more flexibility but it can be hard too and extensive research is needed.
For my Final Project to complete my college degree, I need to choose from a list of topics to accomplish. There are all difficult. There is one that requires me to make a PSP Game, and another to do RTS, and NDS game. In the end, I found one that is easier to accomplish - making a game based on crowd simulation.
But then crowd simulation is not that easy itself. Although the game platform choice is free for me and my teammates, we still need to research on the type of game to make that can demonstrate the crowd simulation. Probably defense games, strategy games...
And in crowd simulation, there are mainly 3 behaviors to simulate:
1. Collision avoidance
2. Path-finding
3. Queuing
Right now, we are still deciding on what type of game to come up with, but then from my personal research and experience, strategy games demonstrate the most crowd simulation. Especially when lots of units are built.
